Leonard Cohen's estate has issued a statement, along with music publisher Sony, stating that the late singer's song "Hallelujah" was used without authorization at the Republican National Convention. In fact, Sony noted that it had specifically denied the request for permission to use the track. The song was used twice without permission and the estate is considering legal action.
